Happy Customer

Anyone who is in business, knows the first customer is the hardest customer to obtain.  After the sale, what can you do to keep your customer coming back to your business?

You want a Happy Customer!  A customer, who can not say enough good thoughts about you and your company.  If you have employees, be sure they greet each customer with a smile and offer help if needed.   With every transaction, be sure to have the WOW factor:

Wrap their purchase with fresh tissue paper when packaging.  Make a special home delivery.  If your customer is looking for something you do not have, be helpful in locating that item, even if it needs to be a call to a competitor.  Each sales invoice should have a Thank You imprinted on the invoice or handwritten.

Always let your customer know how much you appreciate them and ask how you can improve their shopping experience.
This tote is just one of our new Spring items.  I love the poppy imprint. Beautiful Spring Tote $35.00

Fun Project

Decorating my home and customers' homes are the best times I have at using my creative thinking side of my brain.  I love color and spend a lot of time in comparing tints and shades of various color blends. This project has some beautiful colors and more can be shown by using glass objects to help reflect the light.

Tools needed:   Scissors, damp cloth, clean dry jar, water and decals

Directions:    First wet the area where the decal will be applied. Cut loosely around decal and place in a bowl of tepid water.
Wait 30 seconds or so until you can 'feel' the decal separate from the paper.  Then carefully slide decal onto surface.  Be careful not to crease the decal.
Lightly wipe decal with a damp cloth or paper towel in order to smooth out any bubbles.   Allow to dry.  Option: Apply a coat of clear varnish over the object to seal the decal.

Fragrances of Fall

The beauty and smells of Fall brings us all close to home or at least longing to be home. At Tea Time Consultants, we have been traveling a lot this year. A well planned trip occurred in July and most of the month was spent in Europe and a seven (7) day river cruise on the Danube was so much fun. We met wonderful people from all over the world as well as our friends in the Houston area.

Coming back home and back to work with some new exciting Thirty-One products was really not work at all. Shown here are three new items: Essential tote on the left in Vintage Damask print $28.00, the Reversible tote in the center sells for $88.00 and the inside can be reverse on the outside for a gold rubbed metallic look. The thermal on the right, is really one of my hot sellers, especially for the summers in Houston. It is the Leak Lock Thermal for $48.00.  The family members love it!
The Houston Expo Build was a great success at the NRG building. We manned the NAWIC booth and it was well attended.  Along with meeting people in the industry, we were able to show off some of our handy totes.

These sassy totes run in prices of $15.00 to $25.00 allowing the NAWIC members to take advantage of the discounts offered.

These two soft totes are the same de
sign, but as you can see, look completely different. The multi print with blue sells for $45.00.
This soft tote shown here in the black and then I added the Metallic lettering added a cost of $7.00 for a total of the black soft tote $52.00. A beautiful classy tote for everything a girl has.
Have a very Happy Happy Thanksgiving for you and your family!!

Bubble Bloom

Spring has finally arrived!  I just love this new print----Bubble Bloom. I have shown here the same print with two different colors of monogramming.   The first photo here is the "crafts" in lime green.
The second photo is using the New True Turquoise color thread.  Which do you like the best?   The Bubble Bloom has so many other colors in the print.  Just perfect for any room you might want to change out the decor.  These cute little Oh Snap Bins are on special this month for $5.00 each with a $35.00 purchase. Great for kids rooms, craft rooms and the teacher's desk.   Also, with the additional snaps on the side, these can be used in the car for snacks or tissue holders.

This cute table setting is showing our new product.  T go Snack Bites
This product is so easy to use and will let you look good and feel good.  Just shake on your breakfast and lunch.  It is great for a brain booster as well.

Dining chairs accessories

Just wanted my Tea Time Consultant friends in on one little dinning room chair accent that is so fun to do when you want a slight change in your dinning room with guests coming.   Shown here at Christmas was the chair covers using 2 yards each of satin 36" width fabric and tulle in a slight different color with the glitter in  a length of 3 yards per chair or experiment with the length you want to drape behind each chair.

First cut the satin length and gather at each chair with the tie at the back.  Then do the same with the tulle and make a big, full bow.  After the bow is in place, use your favorite accent piece, which mine shown here had the pipe cleaners with attached sparkles and Christmas accents in raspberry colors.

No sewing involved, easy to switch out for Valentine's day.  I think for February I will use my favorite color of pink and reds with the white bows.

NOTE:  Little brain teaser
How many F's are in the following sentence?  Finished files are the result of years of scientific study and also years of experience.

Falling Leaves

Falling leaves means falling prices.  Check us out, we have closed our Katy location and now currently are located in Cypress, TX.  Beautiful lace and the runners with brocade show very good against the dark woods for fall.

This ivory trim is perfect for a bed skirt.

With Fall selections, we need the perfect table cloth for Thanksgiving.

Easy way to decorate with the tea rose pattern runner by adding white pumpkins from Hobby Lobby, alternate with candles and background use the white Christmas tree lights.  Very inexpensive.

My Summer DIY Project

My summer time was spent a bit differently this year. I did not have any problems with a work schedule to interrupt my projects as I previously had the past forty years.  As normal, I like to use household items I already have in the inventory, usually found in my craft containers.

This first item, the the wooded white letter "B".
The next item I found in my office was the Elmer's Craft Bond-spray adhesive and also an assortment of scrapbook sheets.
In this photo, you can see the burlap covered poster board.  This and the following pieces were purchased at my favorite store, Hobby Lobby.  So my shopping list included the burlap board, Mod Podge-waterbase sealer, 1/4" thick or less of a cardboard shape and cutout.

First step: Trace cardboard shape out of favorite color scrapbrook sheet. Then cut shape out with scissors.
Second step:  Outside use spray adhesive on cardboard shape and then carefully place the scrapebook
sheet cutout onto the cardboard.   After drying.   Then start applying Mod Podge with craft
brush.  Allow 30 minutes for each coat to dry before applying another layer of Mod Podge.
The Mod Podge reminded me of using decoupage back in the early 1970's.
Third step:  Next step glue the cardboard to the burlap board. Making sure to center the piece and have
an even margin on each side.
Fourth step: Apply spray adhesive to back of cutout and apply on top of the scrapbook Mod Podge coated
sheet centered. The last step will be to place the White "B" letter glued and center on top.

Mason Jars

I love Mason Jars, they bring so many memories from childhood to gardening and canning each summer.

This jar is really a neat kitchen accessory.  Stacked, it appears like a one quart jar.  But it really is a set of measuring cups as shown here.

Summer brings those nice blooming plants and just makes you want a glass of cold Southern Tea.

Getting Organized

Yes, it's that time of the year, let's get organized. Nothing jump starts a good plan of action better than having a clean desk.

We all are busy getting our income tax papers together.  So starting out clean gives us a good focus for our new year. First way to plan for a clean desk is to clear the desk.  Small loose items like paper clips, scotch tape dispensers, staplers and small pieces of papter can go into the top drawer.  This drawer can also be kept in an orderly manner as well.

You need only a few effective items for the top of your desk.  So choose a pretty color for your accessories.  Choose a desk set which gives you that relaxing smile when you first sit down to do your work.

The next step is to pick out functional pieces for storage and organizing your papers.  In time management classes, the best way to have items on the desk is to go in a vertical space and not lay papers on top of each other.
Shown here are the calming beige cube units which can be labeled for $5.00 each during the month of February.  So get busy, place your order today for the desk sets, which will fit your fancy and your 2014 is off to a great start.  Your success is my joy!
