Red Delights

One of my many favorite colors-red.  Coming up, watch for a decorator who loves using red in her apartment.  Looks great.  Watch later this week.

New Home

Shortly I will be showing our new home and some crafty ideas with the existing furniture and window treatments.  Spring time is a wonderful time to clean out those closets, give to others and look for those cracks around the windows so your air conditioning does not escape, just in time to have high electric bills.

Great News, Exciting Plans

The excitng news here at Tea Time Consultants are the beautiful plants all blooming around the Houston area.

The colors are so exciting, you just want to bring those wonderful hues into your home.

Of course I have the house all ready for Easter, special placements of chocolate all in beautiful clear and colored dishes for display and eating enjoyment.

With April coming up, I am pleased to announce our Houston Chapter of 99s will be doing another Girl Scout aviation badge workshop.  Shown here is a workshop we did at the Houston Science and Health Museum.  On April 9th we will be at the 1940 Air Terminal Museum, Hobby airport.

Who wouldn't want to help this sweet little brownie earn her badges.  Plus those Girl Scout cookies are always so good!

Love Notes

My favorite holiday of the year, Valentine's Day!  It's close to the heart, its red and usually something sweet is included.  Shown here are a couple of ideas, for those lovers who want to do something special for their sweetie.  Music, Flowers or Gift card are just a few of the items.

Reason for the Season

 The house has to get ready for guests.  This year we have a special guest coming to our house.  The hostess is dressed in Santa's favorite colors, Black and Red.

White lights are the greatest accent to highlight objects in your house.  These are all around the mantel with very special cake plates in a variety of colors.

 Also, when you need just the perfect gift wrap, use lace and beads to tie together.  In this picture, I have used a while lace placemate and a red ruby tassle of beads.

New Years Eve, already to celebrate the new year and be so thankful for the blessings upon myself and my family.

Fall Homes

While I am home recooperating, I am very lucky to have these top award winning chefs to prepare my food each day. My husband Jim and son David are doing a great job of keeping up my work at the house. Lucky lady.

Fall is here and nothing gets those creative juices going better than a cup of tea and reading my Romantic Homes magazine. Also be sure to check out the new items with my site at Layla Grayce.

Projects

Labor Day weekend has so many things to choose to do with family and friends! My problem begins with all the projects I want to work on and so little time.

Another way to enjoy this wonderful three day weekend, just stay home, curl up with a good book and some relaxing tea!

Do I go flea market shopping for those special finds that are just begging me to buy them or at least pick them up and hold the item in my hand. I just adore these little hat boxes! So many ways to use them and great gifts.

Do I choose to work on this chair recovering project? I love the chair, but the blue and white is really draw me in. Such peaceful colors.

On any day of this special weekend, I most surely will have a good cup of coffee.
